These fishing boats would go out to fish at night and take tourists out during the day. Some are finding the tourist business more lucrative than fishing.

Sri Lankans have a holiday every full moon. The day after our arrival there was a super blue moon in eclipse (70% there) so the festivities were special this year. There were a lot of Sri Lankan families out enjoying the beach. Unfortunately for us from a photographic perspective, the eclipse was shrouded in cloud. It was good fun none-the-less.

Sri Lankans are very entrepreneurial. The will set up a shack (little more than a lean-to), to sell things - mostly food.

Wherever we went there were school "sports" days.
