Maggie & I went to Paris to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary which was 2nd Nov 2014. We stayed at this eclectic hotel recommended by Diane Sawatzky and we too can heartily recommend it.

Parisians are not bashful about showing their love in public.

An entrance to the metro - the Parisians have a flare for design.
Cafes everywhere and more often than not with people smoking (at least they do restrict it to outside).
Once an hour for 5 minutes the Tower has a light show of thousands of bright LED lights flashing on and off.
I tried several long exposure zooms with this being my best result.
Halloween night we met many party people on our way back to the hotel from the Eiffel Tower.
