In the fall of 2014, I finally fulfilled my objective of visiting my Uncle Julian's war grave in France. The Choloy War Cemetery is located about 30 minutes west of Nancy, France. Nancy is about 2 hours train ride (on the fast train) east of Paris. What a moving experience to be there and see Uncle Julian's grave. Plot 1, Row G, Grave 8 (1G8 were the last 3 digits of our postal code in Etobicoke).

We started our tour of Nancy at the beautiful Stanislas Square.

Each corner of the square has amazing gold guilt ornamentation.

We walked from the square through an adjoining park where we stumbled upon a wedding party. I caught this candid shot as the bride momentarily looked at me.
