Muskoka Oct 2020
We rented a cottage on Dwight Bay, Lake of Bays. My parents lived in Dwight for over twenty years so we know the area well. The fall colours were early this year and as we drove to Algonquin, there were fewer and fewer leaves left on the trees. Add to that long lineups for park entry tickets we decided to give Algonquin a miss this year. We happily found lots of colour (mostly yellows and browns) all within 30 minutes of Dwight. Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve with 70 km of trails was a great find. Unlike the Provincial Parks, Limberlost trails are free for public use year-round. We had a number of great sunsets. A few images were taken with my smartphone.
